Easyfive-TT is a 5-in-1 combination vaccine by Panacea Biotec Ltd. — an established Indian vaccine manufacturer. A single 0.5 mL dose protects infants against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). By combining 5 vaccines in one injection, Easyfive-TT reduces the total number of injections a baby receives while providing solid protection against these serious infant infections. It uses whole-cell pertussis (DTwP) — cost-effective and highly immunogenic. Note: this vaccine does not include polio protection — OPV/IPV doses must be given separately as per the national schedule.
5 Diseases Easyfive-TT Protects Against
1🦠
Diphtheria
Bacterial throat membrane infection — can block airways and cause heart failure. Fatal in unvaccinated children.
2⚡
Tetanus
Lockjaw — Clostridium tetani toxin causing severe muscle spasms. No cure; prevention only through vaccination.
3🤧
Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
Highly contagious — violent coughing fits. Deadly for infants under 6 months. Whole-cell pertussis formula is highly effective.
Leading cause of bacterial meningitis and pneumonia in infants. Hib-PRP conjugated to Tetanus Toxoid provides T-cell dependent immunity.
💡 Why 5-in-1? Combining 5 vaccines into one injection means fewer total injections for the baby, fewer clinic/home visits, better compliance with the full immunisation schedule, and reduced anxiety for both baby and parents. Note: Easyfive-TT does not include polio protection — OPV/IPV doses must still be given separately as per the national immunisation schedule. For a single-shot option that also includes polio, see Hexasiil PFS (6-in-1).
Who Should Get Easyfive-TT?
👶
All Infants from 6 Weeks
Primary target: all healthy infants starting from 6 weeks of age. IAP 2024 includes 5-in-1 (DTwP-HepB-Hib) as part of the extended immunisation schedule, alongside separately-given OPV/IPV doses.
🍼
Premature Babies
Preterm infants are highly vulnerable to Hib meningitis, pertussis and hepatitis B. Easyfive-TT is given at chronological age (6 weeks), not corrected gestational age.
🫀
Infants with Chronic Conditions
Congenital heart disease, chronic lung conditions, liver disease — these increase the severity of Hib infections and pertussis. 5-in-1 vaccination is critical for protection.
🏥
Immunocompromised Infants
HIV-exposed or HIV-positive infants, those with primary immunodeficiencies (consult doctor). Easyfive-TT is an inactivated vaccine — no live components, safe for immunocompromised.
🔄
Catch-Up Vaccination
Infants who missed early doses can receive catch-up vaccination. The schedule depends on age at first dose — call VacciHub for a personalised catch-up plan.
🌍
Families Preferring Indian Vaccine
Parents who prefer a trusted, budget-friendly Made-in-India vaccine from an established manufacturer (Panacea Biotec) without compromising efficacy.

💡 Whole-Cell Pertussis (DTwP): Easyfive-TT uses killed whole Bordetella pertussis bacteria — the original, highly immunogenic pertussis vaccine formula used in India for decades. DTwP generates a broad antibody response and provides strong herd protection. It may cause more local reactions (fever, injection-site soreness) than acellular formulas — paracetamol management is recommended.
ℹ️ No Polio Component: Unlike 6-in-1 vaccines such as Hexasiil PFS, Easyfive-TT does not contain a polio (IPV) component. OPV drops and/or IPV injections must still be given separately as per the national immunisation schedule.
⚠️ Storage: +2°C to +8°C. NOT TO BE FROZEN.SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. VacciHub nurses verify cold chain compliance and shake the syringe before every administration.

DT Booster 2
4–6 Years
DT / Tdap (pre-school)
School-entry DTP booster
ℹ️ HepB birth dose is separate: The Hepatitis B birth dose (within 24 hours of birth) is critical and given as a monovalent HepB vaccine — not as part of the 5-in-1 series. After 3 doses of Easyfive-TT, the HepB primary series (total 4 doses: birth + 3 Easyfive-TT) is complete. No separate HepB booster needed.
⚠️ Polio doses given separately: Because Easyfive-TT does not include a polio component, OPV drops (at birth, 6, 10, 14 weeks and boosters) and/or IPV injections must continue as per the national immunisation schedule alongside Easyfive-TT.
⚠️ Booster vaccine: The 15–18 month booster is given as a separate DTwP or DTaP — not as another Easyfive-TT dose. This is because Hib and HepB series are complete after 3 primary doses. Your paediatrician will prescribe the appropriate booster vaccine.
How Does Easyfive-TT Work?
1
5 Antigens Delivered in One IM Injection
After shaking well, 0.5 mL is injected into the anterolateral thigh (infants). The single injection delivers Diphtheria Toxoid, Tetanus Toxoid, whole-cell B. pertussis, HBsAg rDNA, and Hib-PRP conjugated to Tetanus Toxoid.
2
Aluminium Phosphate Adjuvant Depot Effect
All antigens are adsorbed on Aluminium Phosphate. This creates a depot at the injection site — slowing antigen release and providing prolonged stimulation of antigen-presenting cells, dendritic cells and macrophages for stronger immune responses.
3
5 Independent Antibody Responses Generated
The immune system generates specific antibodies against each of the 5 antigens simultaneously: anti-Diphtheria toxoid IgG, anti-Tetanus toxoid IgG, anti-Pertussis antibodies, anti-HBs IgG, and anti-PRP IgG (Hib). Memory cells for all 5 are formed. Polio immunity is built up separately through OPV/IPV doses given alongside this vaccine.
4
Boosted After Each Dose — Mature After 3 Doses
Each dose amplifies antibody titres. After the 3-dose primary series (6–14 weeks), protective levels are achieved for all 5 diseases. The DTP booster at 15–18 months restores waning DTP immunity and consolidates long-term protection.
Easyfive-TT Side Effects
Easyfive-TT uses whole-cell pertussis (DTwP) — which causes more local and systemic reactions than acellular pertussis (DTaP). These reactions are expected and reflect the vaccine's robust immune activation.
🟡 Common (Expected with DTwP)
💉 Injection-site pain, redness, swelling
🌡️ Fever (common — may be moderate)
😢 Irritability / prolonged crying
😴 Drowsiness / poor feeding
🔴 Local swelling / induration at site
🔴 Rare – Seek Medical Attention
🤒 High fever (>39.5°C)
😢 Persistent crying >3 hours
😵 Hypotonic-hyporesponsive episode
⚡ Febrile seizure (rare)
🚨 Anaphylaxis (extremely rare)
💡 Managing DTwP reactions: Pre-emptive or post-vaccination Paracetamol (10–15 mg/kg) may be given for fever and pain as per your paediatrician's advice. Apply a cool cloth (not ice) to injection site. These reactions are generally self-limiting within 48–72 hours. Our VacciHub nurses observe babies for 30 minutes and advise parents on fever management before leaving.

ℹ️ Which to choose? Easyfive-TT is an economical 5-in-1 option, well suited for families comfortable giving separate OPV/IPV doses alongside it as per the national schedule. Hexasiil PFS (6-in-1) combines polio protection into the same injection, reducing the total number of injections your baby receives. Your paediatrician can help you decide based on your baby's schedule and preferences.
Precautions & Contraindications
Do NOT give Easyfive-TT if:
Encephalopathy within 7 days of a prior pertussis-containing vaccine
Anaphylaxis to a prior Easyfive-TT dose or any component
Acute moderate-to-severe febrile illness — defer until recovery
Progressive neurological disorder or unstable epilepsy
Use with Caution — Discuss with Paediatrician:
History of febrile seizures or family history of seizures
Previous hypotonic-hyporesponsive episode after DTP
Persistent high-pitched crying >3 hours after prior dose
Thrombocytopenia or coagulation disorders
Immunosuppressed infants — still recommended; immune response may be reduced
⚠️ NOT TO BE FROZEN. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Do NOT inject intradermally or intravenously — intramuscular only (anterolateral thigh in infants). Do NOT mix with other vaccines in the same syringe. VacciHub nurses follow all these protocols at every home visit.

Frequently Asked Questions – Easyfive-TT
Easyfive-TT is a 5-in-1 combination vaccine by Panacea Biotec Ltd. One 0.5 mL dose protects against: (1) Diphtheria, (2) Tetanus, (3) Pertussis/Whooping Cough (whole cell), (4) Hepatitis B (HBsAg rDNA) and (5) Hib (H. influenzae type b, conjugated to Tetanus Toxoid). Unlike 6-in-1 vaccines, it does not include polio protection.
Primary series: Dose 1 at 6 weeks, Dose 2 at 10 weeks, Dose 3 at 14 weeks (intramuscular, anterolateral thigh). HepB birth dose: Must be given within 24 hours of birth as a separate monovalent HepB vaccine before starting Easyfive-TT. Polio: OPV/IPV doses must be given separately alongside this vaccine, as per the national schedule. Booster: DTwP or DTaP booster at 15–18 months (not another Easyfive-TT dose — Hib and HepB series are complete after 3 primary doses).
Both use whole-cell pertussis (DTwP) and are made by Indian manufacturers. Hexasiil PFS (Serum Institute of India) is a 6-in-1 vaccine that also includes inactivated polio (IPV) in the same shot. Easyfive-TT (Panacea Biotec) is a 5-in-1 vaccine without polio, so OPV/IPV must be given as separate doses. Easyfive-TT is more economical; Hexasiil PFS reduces the total number of injections. Your paediatrician can help you choose.
Yes. VacciHub provides home vaccination with genuine Panacea Biotec Easyfive-TT across Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Greater Noida. Our certified nurses shake the syringe before use, administer correct IM injection, follow post-vaccination monitoring and track your 3-dose series with reminders. Call +91 92050 04114 or WhatsApp to book.
Due to whole-cell pertussis, Easyfive-TT commonly causes injection-site pain, redness, swelling, moderate fever, irritability and drowsiness — more frequent than acellular vaccines. These reactions are self-limiting (48–72 hours) and indicate strong immune activation. Paracetamol (10–15 mg/kg) may be given for fever/pain as per your paediatrician's advice. Serious adverse events (HHE, persistent crying, febrile seizure, anaphylaxis) are rare. Our VacciHub nurses observe babies for 30 minutes post-vaccination and advise parents on management.
Yes — Easyfive-TT does not include polio protection. OPV drops and/or IPV injections must continue to be given separately as per the national immunisation schedule (at birth, 6, 10, 14 weeks and boosters). If you would prefer polio protection combined in the same injection, ask about Hexasiil PFS (6-in-1) instead.
Easyfive-TT is a suspension — the aluminium phosphate adjuvant and antigens settle on standing. The vaccine must be shaken well before each use to ensure uniform suspension and correct dosing of all antigens. VacciHub nurses always shake the syringe thoroughly before administration.
