Check the interval, not just the age
Bring the actual six-week vaccination date and the product labels. If that appointment was delayed, the next dose may need a different date. A due-age guide helps you prepare; it cannot confirm the minimum interval for an individual child.
Why the second visit matters
Primary-series doses build on earlier vaccination. A first dose does not mean the course is complete. Tell the clinician about fever, swelling, allergy or other concerns after the previous visit so the next appointment can be planned with appropriate advice.
Choosing the next brand
Avoid changing products solely because a different brand appears cheaper online. Ask the paediatrician whether the proposed combination, pneumococcal or rotavirus product fits the existing series. Rotavirus courses and age limits are product-specific. Keep the card updated so the 14-week appointment can be arranged accurately.
