MR and MMR: know what is on the card
MR covers measles and rubella; MMR also includes mumps. Tell the paediatrician which product was previously given, especially if your child received a campaign or early outbreak-related dose. Ask how it counts toward the future schedule.
Check the government programme doses
The 9–12 month UIP visit also includes pneumococcal and fractional polio follow-up under the current programme, with Japanese encephalitis vaccination in applicable endemic districts. Confirm the local programme and your child’s history at the vaccination centre. Vitamin A supplementation may be offered but is not a vaccine.
Risk-based vaccines need a reason
Meningococcal products are not a universal addition for every nine-month-old baby. Age eligibility, medical risks, travel and the exact product influence advice. Ask the paediatrician to explain any additional recommendation before adding it to an online order.
