Starting influenza vaccination
Ask the clinician to confirm the current seasonal formulation, the product’s approved age and the second appointment if needed. A flu product listed in the catalog is not automatically suitable for every infant. The schedule should account for previous influenza doses and the child’s health.
Typhoid is a separate decision
Typhoid conjugate vaccines have product-specific approved ages. The recommended visit timing should be checked against current guidance and the child’s record. Do not confuse a typhoid conjugate product with a vaccine intended only for older children or travellers.
Use this visit to close record gaps
Check that the initial combination, polio, pneumococcal and rotavirus course has been recorded. Late rotavirus vaccination has age restrictions, so obtain advice rather than simply booking a missed dose. Ask for the nine-month plan and keep any next influenza date written on the card.
